Freedom... and Captain America's Shield

So yesterday I was busy, busy! I finished 2 card's and then I was inspired to start another before I lost my idea. So this card is a red, white and blue card for the Saturated Canary Challenge Blog and I also took some creative liberties with a sketch from Graphic Cat, I think that it still works but it's really up to them to say if it does or not. So hear it is...

My first time coloring with Copics, I just happened to have enough to use these colors. I think It looks pretty good for my first time and only watching online videos, but I'm sure that Taking a class is next up as soon as there is one in the area! I really like the embossed stars and hearts that I did behinde her! It was also my first time making a bundle with the flowers (using floural tape and what not) thought that turned out good to but I had to play with it for about 10 min or more to figure out how to put it together.

This last pic was just to show off the Captain Amewrica shields, I made my own temp-let's and really like how they turned out. I had bought a pack of Thresa Collins stars and they were all shiny/sparkly on the side that sticks out except one. I ended up using that one on CA's older shield, thought It turned out good for the over all effect!

Hope you all enjoyed!

One late and one early Birthday Card!

So I Promised another card by Sunday so hear I am with a very late and birthday card! In fact I don't know if I have ever been on time with a birthday card, I'm trying to get better with that but it's just not one of those things that I'm good at.

This card was made for a friend who loves Snow White! She even wanted to make her wedding dress in Snow White theme but her grandmother who was going to help her is just too old to do all that close up and fine detail work. I'm sure I'll get this card to her eventually but between both of our busy schedules and her traveling it might not be until late summer.

And second  I have a Birthday card for my Best friends Husband. I feel kinda bad for always sending her things and not a one for him. So I decided that this time when I sent her a package that I would include a birthday card for him. Funny guy his birthday is on the 4th of July and so when he was a kid he thought that all of those fireworks were for him :)

This second card was kinda hard to make but I think that I like the overall effect! Enjoy The rest of your Sunday!

Brave(...ish)

Wow... Its been a while! I had no intention of leaving off up-dating for so long, but life gets busy and then you find that no matter how much you clean once you turn you back for 10 sec your clean crafting space is gone! It's been a battle but I finally have everything back in order and some cards to share.

This first card I'm posting I'm calling Brave(...ish). I know that she's a viking and not a Celt, she's holding a sword and not a bow and arrow, and I gave her brown hair instead of red. All that aside she still reminds me a bit of that girl in the Brave previews! ~ On a side note who is going to see that this weekend? I love just about everything Scottish so as soon as they started showing previews for Brave I just knew I was going to have to see it. ~ Back on track... While this girl is cute ribbons and lace, she can also tonce all those silly boys and look great doing it. Decked out in her leather armor and sword she is off looking for a Fae circle and is ready to tackle anything that comes her way. Hope she finds that circle but if not it looks like she has plenty of butterfly's to keep her company, or are those fairy's in disguise?

For this card I used a Bo Bunny's- Country Garden paper. Various boarder punches by Fiskars and Martha Stewart. Vicky the Viking; a Saturated Canary digi by Krista Smith. Some lace, rhinestones and pearls from my stash. As well as roses and rose buds from Wild Orchid Crafts. To color my image I used a variety of colored pencils and water color pencils.

This card is also my entry for the SCDT Call.

I will have another card posted by Sunday so keep your eyes open if your following! Enjoy your Friday, where ever you are I hope that your having good weather!
